Hi, I'm Marilyn, but my friends call me Mare! I'm the owner and creator behind Made by Mare!

My small business journey began in 2021 with PurpleElephant13, where I turned my love for crafting into an Etsy shop. After years of selling exclusively on Etsy, I decided it was time for a new chapter. In December 2025, I rebranded to Made by Mare and eventually closed my Etsy shop to focus on growing my business independently.

Today, I create a variety of unique and personalized products, including apparel, stickers, buttons, totes, bottle openers, and more. Whether it's a custom gift, something for your business, or just something fun, we love bringing your ideas to life!

Made by Mare is also a family affair! I'm lucky to have the support of my wife, Alma, and our daughter, Elena, who is my biggest little helper at vendor events. Elena is autistic, and our journey together has inspired me to embrace individuality, celebrate differences, and create welcoming spaces for everyone.

We're a small business proudly based in Sacramento, California, and every order, share, and kind word means the world to us.
